Dr. Vikas Rai Bhatnagar is an Indian Army veteran of the Corps of Signals. Thereafter, he led the human resource function of reputed MNCs such as GE Lighting, Bayer BioScience, and Dr. Reddy’s; Dr. Bhatnagar has been the Chief Human Resources Officer of Spark Minda Group,a leading automotive components company in India, and his last corporate role, prior to moving to action research consulting and academics, was Senior Vice President-Human Resource at Shree Cement, one of the largest cement companies in India.
With a doctorate from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon (an AACSB accredited institute), an MBA in HR, and an MA in Psychology, Dr. Bhatnagar is a Professor of General Management at LBSIM. The research contributions of Dr. Bhatnagar include developing a new construct of Organization Behaviour termed Employee Strengths at Work, a new scale for measuring the construct, and applying his research in consultancy projects to improve management practice.In addition, Dr. Bhatnagar is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach and provides impactful action research consultancy to corporates.
The research interest of Dr. Bhatnagar is humanizing organizations. Dr. Bhatnagar presented one of his empirical papers at the prestigious Academy of Management Conference, New York, USA, in the Organization Behaviour Division in July 2021. At the Academy of Management Conference in Seattle, Washington this Aug, Dr. Bhatnagar will be presenting a new theory—the theory of profitable humanization. The title of the paper that Dr. Bhatnagar will be presenting at the AOM is “The Theory of Profitable Humanization-The Coming of Employee holder and Human-Centric Organizations.”
