Professor Mohammad Forhad is the Dean of the Faculty of Textile Chemical Engineering and the Director of Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX). He has about 22 years of progressive professional experience in industry, research and education, and administration.

Professor Forhad is well known in the community of quality assurance in higher education in Bangladesh. He works as an expert in quality assurance and curriculum development in higher education. He is the panelist trainer and resource person of BAC and BAETE. He is awarded Fellow of Textile Institute (CText FTI) in 2015 due to his contribution in textile education and industry. Academically, he received his undergraduate from the University of Dhaka, and MSc from the University of Boras, Sweden and PhD from the University of Manchester, UK.

He is passionate in policy making for educational management and preparing strategic development plan for higher education. He likes to work for “change for development” through institutional reformation and capacity-building using digital technologies.
