Graduated in 1986 from King Edward Medical College (KEMC), he earned fellowship of Forensic Medicine in 2004 and served in various incumbencies in renowned institutions like King Edward Medical College (KEMC) and Aga Khan University (AKU). Has over 30 years of valuable experience in the field of medical education. While he has been a passionate and caring teacher; as an administrator, he has been firmly result-oriented with a steady vision.
His rich exposure to various distinguished medical institutions has empowered him with a diverse and innovative approach as an academic leader. He is a strong believer of “teaching the student and not the subject” which involves experiential learning strategies that foster critical thinking. He has visited USA as an Observer, Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office Texas USA. Under his guidance and patronship, Shalamar Medical & Dental College has been very efficiently and effectively spearheaded, spreading its wings to post-graduation in addition to under-graduation.
He has over 25 publications and international paper presentations to his credit. He has also participated in numerous educational courses, workshops, seminars, symposia and conferences, besides successfully conducting international conferences at Shalamar Medical & Dental College as a patron.
He is also sitting President of Pakistan Society of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, a Board Member of the Institutional Review Board of Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and Co-Chair of Institutional Review Board of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Center (SKMCH & RC).
