Mr. Jelanie C. Mangondato has been an educator for more than a decade (since 2006). He is a parliamentary, debater, debate coach, editor, researcher and advocate.
He has served as pioneer faculty member of the first Engineering private school in Marawi City—the Philippine Engineering and Agro-Industrial College Inc. (now produced more than a thousand licensed Civil Engineers). He was the Executive Secretary and Dean of College from 2015-2018. Then after he was hired as curriculum developer, secretary to the Board and Assistant Dean of RC Al Khwarizmi International College (where he introduced and developed special engineering curriculum) from 2018-2021.
Now, he is working with various non-government organization and the Commission on Human Right of BARMM to promote education as a matter of right to all Bangsamoro constituents. He is a graduate of Juris Doctor at Mindanao State University as Academic Scholar, a holder of Governmental Management Certificate and Masters of Public Administration. Also he graduated Cum Laude in his Bachelor of Arts in English degree. He was a field researcher with De La Salle University-Social Development Research Center and National University. He has served the Philippine government as Tax Researcher at BLGF Department of Finance and as Legal Editor at Department of Agrarian Reform in Manila, Philippines.
He is a recipient of various local and national awards: Innovative Educator as Change-maker Award 2021 (International Innovative Future Education Summit & Awards 2021); Exemplary Leadership in Education (World Education Leaders Summit, 2021); Outstanding Academic Leadership and Youth Advocate Awardee (4th Asia Pacific Luminaire Awards, 2021); Most Passionate Parliamentarian (Bangsamoro Youth Parliament, 2021), Exemplary BARMM Educator in the Private Sector (Gintong Parangal, 2021), Asia-Pacific Outstanding Educator and Outstanding Private School Educator (3rd Asia Pacific Guro Excellence Awards, 2022), and Most Exemplary Educator (Mindanao Excellence Awards 2022).
