I am a Doctorate in mathematics with 20+ years of rich teaching experience in various recognized universities in India and abroad. I am currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Science of Prince Sultan University (PSU) Riyadh. Prior to PSU, I was working with Princess Noura University, Riyadh.

I have completed my Ph. D in Mathematics in 2006 from India. Besides teaching students at Undergraduate, Graduate and Post Graduate, I have also paid my utmost attention towards the research field. I have published papers on multiple aspects of mathematics and teaching technology in various SCOPUS indexed International Journals.

I served as a Invited Speaker in many international conferences. There are many students under my guidance who are pursuing their Doctorate. My objective as a teacher is to motivate my students to develop their own learning interests and critical thinking—to establish a learner-centered environment in the classroom.

I tend to prepare the lesson plans considering the interconnection between the student’s own knowledge, culture, and learning abilities. I choose content and activities that are both significant and challenging for the students so that they are stimulated to think “beyond” their comfort zone and feel involved in their own learning process.

I believe that clear, open communication with students is a key element in helping them learn. In my prospective career as a faculty at your institute, I look forward to working in a collaborative learning and teaching environment with both faculty and students, where I can develop courses incorporating innovative teaching techniques and the most recent theories and research through an interdisciplinary approach.

I feel that I could contribute to a number of the other courses at both the introductory and intermediate level. I would also welcome the opportunity to develop new ideas according to student needs. I strongly believe teaching and digital technology should go hand in hand.

Dr. Iqtidar Hussain is serving as as Assistant Professor in the Department of Agronomy at the Faculty of Agriculture Gomal University since 2014. He completed his PhD from Gomal University in Agronomy (plant sciences). He has substantially improved his capacity building through meaningful participation as key note speaker/ resource person/ focal person/ organizer in various training sessions, seminar, conference and workshops at national and international levels. He achieved distinction by becoming member of the Soil Science Society of Pakistan, Weed Science Society of Pakistan, Pakistan Botany Society and Pakistan Allelopathty Society. He published 96 research articles in national as well as international reputable research journal. He served the Education Department as Teacher and Subject Specialist for 17 years and at the Gomal University as Assistant Professor for 8 years.

Currently working as Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, United International University (UIU), Bangladesh (http://www.uiu.ac.bd). Ph.D. Dissertation focuses on signal processing techniques for wireless communication systems; in particular: the analysis and implementation of performance-loss due to channel estimation error and performance-enhancement by the design of optimal training in multicarrier (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM)) and Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) systems in wireless fading channels.

Worked as a member of technical state in Olympus Communication Technology of America (http://www.olympus-cta.com), San Diego, CA 92121, USA and was involved in design, simulation and implementation of Ultra Wide Band (UWB) transceiver for short range wireless link. Technical skills focus on designing and developing different algorithms, architecture and signal processing techniques for baseband communication systems such as Wireless Cellular Network, Wireless Broadband Network, Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN), Public Switch Telephone Network (PSTN), Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN). Familiarity with dierent state of the art standards such as Wide Band Code Division Multiple Access(W-CDMA), CDMA 2000, IEEE 802.11 (WiFi), IEEE 802.16 (WiMAX), Bluetooth, WiMedia Multiband OFDM (MBOA), Digital Subscriber line (DSL), Voice over IP (VoIP).

Filed a patent on the invention of increased ranging accuracy of ad-hoc wireless networks. Lead a team of consultants on behalf of Islamic Corporation for the Development (ICD) of the Private Sector, the private sector development wing of the Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) based Islamic Development Bank (IDB), for the assessment of a Broadband Wireless Access project. From 2008-2010, Worked as a board member of Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited (Ltd) (BSCCL), as state owned company established in 2008 to oversee the operation of the lone submarine cable in Bangladesh. Contributed actively in important policy making and technical decisions since its inception that shaped it to the present structure with a complete functional organogram. Current interest of research includes machine and statistical learning algorithms for biomedical signal processing.

Paediatric patient care, clinical research and medical education have been his areas of interest over 12 years. He is currently investigating the use of AI-based technology to develop a module for training clinical year medical students in diagnostic reasoning as part of his project at International FAIMER Institute, Philadelphia. He has authored more than 45 journal articles that include research papers, case studies and commentaries covering diverse aspects of clinical medicine, medical education and research.
